Comedy + TV Writing
I grew up watching comedy. My 10,000 hours were spent soaking in late night shows, stand-up specials on Comedy Central, live sketch comedy at Second City, and endless nights of Must-See TV. I’ve pursued various forms of comedy, including stand-up, improv, sitcom writing, and sketch comedy.
Center for Puppetry Arts 2026 “String Fling” Gala
For the Center for Puppetry Arts’ annual fundraising event, I contributed material to the presentation of the night’s featured guest, comedian and former Saturday Night Live writer Julio Torres. (Also pictured: Egg)
I was a finalist for NBCUniversal's Late Night Writers Workshop, based on a submission packet that had to include monologue jokes, ideas for late night desk bits, and two Saturday Night Live sketches. After publishing my packet on Tumblr, I still get positive notes each year from candidates who discover it while researching the program.
As part of my application to NBCUniversal's Writers on the Verge program, I wrote a full spec script for Parks and Recreation.
While working at Cartoon Network, I co-wrote an episode of the Adult Swim original series Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law with show creators Michael Ouweleen and Erik Richter.
For a sitcom writing class taught by a former writer/producer of "The Wonder Years" and "Frasier," I wrote my final spec for an episode of the ABC cult hit "Sports Night."
